Week 4: Magazine Cover Critique (5/31)
- Your Magazine Cover draft is due
- Class Lesson: Chapter 9: Working With Styles (Get the folder from me)
Week 3: Recreating a Magazine Cover 5/24)
- In this lesson, you'll learn how to:
- Set up a full page document with a bleed
- Import a layered PSD file using "Import Options"
- Format text with careful attention to leading, kerning & tracking
- Work with a transparency (alpha channel) from Photoshop

Week 2: InDesign Basics (5/17)
- We will continue working on the layout exercise. Remember to bring back the lesson folder you started in class.
- Homework:
- Complete Chapter 5: "Flowing Text" Tutorial (you'll need to get
the folder from me or a classmate)
- Download this assignment folder. Use the InDesign CS5 Keyboard Shortcut guide and complete the worksheet. Apply the shortcuts to reformat the InDesign document to make it look better.
